As an interdisciplinary art festival the State of the Art has always aimed to give artists a platform to showcase their art and get into conversation with students, professors and other artists. The State has served as a meeting point, a place of learning, an entryway into the new semester or even a new course of studies. But since the beginning of 2020 our lives have changed.
Arts and culture live off the encounters between different people. Art connects. We know that and so do you. That is why, with the STATE13, we want to create something, that all of us have yearned for and that we as creators need: a network and a space for discourse. With this festival we aim to make its visit possible for every interested person. We want to minimize limits and barriers – to achieve this, we eastablished guidelines for both us as the organisers of the festival as well as the artists and visitors. It doesn’t matter if you participate only or meet us in Hildesheim: the STATE13 seeks to give space to you thoughts and creative ideas and to include everyone.
That is why our space is called: STATE13 - ART TIES.
We want to invite you to become part of it.
