A Live-Story-Game you can play at home.
In the year 2030, the internet has been mostly freed of hate and violence. Through their work the security firm Realiberty was able to secure new safe spaces for the digital life. But one danger, that was thought to have been defeated, threatens to gain new strength in the world wide web. A hacker group named Parole of Sheeps stole important data from the company. Their goal is to blackmail Realiberty. There are only a few hours left to find the person responsible for it. Parole of Sheep must be stopped – is everyone’s safety in danger?
As a team of coworkers from Realiberty, you go on a search for those responsible for Parole of Sheep. Armed with computers, you dive into known and unknown places in the internet. Will you keep an overview or will you lose the traces in the depth of the internet? Parole of Sheep is a participatory Story-Game, that takes place in your own home. Viewers become players, your living room turns into a stage. In chat rooms and live performances, the players move through the story together, holding the fate of the game in their own hands.
This a production by Zustand B.
2020, in the middle of a global pandemic, several students of different disciplines from the Hochschule Osnabrück came together to develop a production for the Theater Osnabrück. Because of the pandemic the digital space was the only shared working space. That made the shared rehearsal process more difficult, leading to the idea of a digital game, in which the viewer would not stay passiv, but become the most important part of the story. At the end of the theater’s season, the club decided to go on with the porject, develop it further and deliver an even better experience for the viewers.
Conception, developement and live performance:
Alexander Aumann
Alisha-Vivienne Hellmuth
Anika Buse
Lea Knopf
Lukas Danckert
Tillmann Staemmler
Anja Engelhardt
Notes:
You need a computer with access to the internet to participate, as well as a Good Chrome, Firefox or Safari browser. During the game browser-based platforms like gather.town or Zoom will be used.
