The non-verbal performance project “No Service” creates a space for questions about our position and responsibilities within society which are brought to the stage and reflected upon together with the audience. This takes the form of two characters who are looking for their place in society. The focus is on "functioning" and "always having to be efficient" in a capitalist system, coupled with the questions: For whom? And for what? What does that do to me as a human being?
Kāhi Kaļenā is a collective of Indian and German performers, consisting of students and alumni of the Lalit Kala Kendra, the Uni Pune as well as the “Kulturcampus” of Hildesheim. Their worked is based on the Marathi concept of “Prayog”, (meaning “performance” or “experiment”) in order to push the boundaries of theatre and further develop performances within given conditions.
Coordination, performance: Mohini Gupte
Performance: Aishwarya Sangle
Music, performance: Maike Obrecht
Technical, performance: Paula Emmrich
