In 2008, Daria and Cristi enrolled at a secondary school in Stuttgart. Ten years later, they both matriculate to study cultural studies and aesthetic practice in Hildesheim and move in together in 2019. Daria and Cristi lived parallel, crossover, parallel again, and finally together.
We face the challenge of negotiating our past, present and future, rummaging through old pictures, chat messages and diary entries, trying to preserve the maximum of history(s) in the minimum of one room. We look back on 13 years of existing together in parallel and ask ourselves: what about tomorrow?
"CIAO AMOR(E) - Part 1: Maybe this will be a performance" is a working process in the form of an interactive, multimedia installation. It is meant to be a kind of getting to know each other, in which we ourselves are not present.
Cristiana Pinto Ribeiro and Daria Bertram have been studying cultural studies and aesthetic practice with a focus on theater at the University of Hildesheim since 2018. Together they were on the leadership team of the State of the Art Festival 2020 (State 12). Cristi is co-founder of the Stuttgart-based collective FREIWILLIG-Kollektiv e.V., with whom she performed the performance "Best Before_Mindesterinnerungsdatum" in the summer of 2021. Daria most recently dealt with feminist SciFi in the context of the project semester.

The installation is multilingual. There will be German, Italian and Portuguese parts. German subtitles for Italian and Portuguese parts are provided. The following topics are discussed in the installation: mental illnesses (depression, eating disorders) as well as hospital stays, micro-aggressions and family conflicts (in the context of intra-European migration history), classicism, school time and puberty. It is possible to leave the installation for topics that affect you.
